Crabdad needs a new name.

When Crabdad was first made, there were no other canon Homestuck characters named Sebastian.

Now there are.

So NEW Crabdad needs a new first name.

Any suggestions?

(Keep in mind he is Indian/Puerto Rican.)

Hey all.

Just wanted to give you a quick update on things.

A few months ago I mentioned that I was dealing with a few deaths in the family. Things are getting better now, but I had to withdraw from school because of it. The stress and pain from losing so many family members in a short time (and on my birthday of all days) was just too much. I was slipping in classes, and the only way to save my GPA and recover (both academically and mentally) was to drop out for the semester.

So now I am working a LOT. Not only my 39.5 hour week, but also taking care of stuff outside of that.

We recently caught a stray kitten who we took care of (separate from our cats of course) and when we took her to the vet, we found out she was VERY sick and had FIV (cat version of HIV). We had to put her down, and any pet owner would understand how hard that is.

BUT!

Seb (my boyfriend, NOT Crabdad) and I are probably going to work on some Crabdad stuff soon. He’ll probably start drawing him more. I’m trying to encourage him to bring in Gamzee and Goatdad.

We’ve got a lot going on, but Crabdad is a fun thing that I have always enjoyed, it’s just sometimes real life problems get in the way.

So why am I reviving Crabdad but still deciding the fate of Unistuck?

Unistuck is fucking huge. There are a lot more characters and a lot more going on. Crabdad is easy and casual. I can update it with random crap and not feel overwhelmed about it.

I can understand being disappointed if you liked Unistuck more, but please keep in mind I am only human and I have a lot of things I need to do aside from fandom. I enjoy fandom, but I don’t have a lot of time to spare for it. Crabdad is something I can put a little time in and it’s still really fun.

unistuck:

I can’t keep up with Unistuck. It’s too big and I have too much going on. Aside from the recent deaths in the family and the family problems that followed, I am focusing a majority of my attention on school, work, and my relationship.

So there are a few options I have here with Unistuck. The main two being I could close down Unistuck or I could hand it over to someone else.

Now before everyone gets all excited over the possibility of inheriting Unistuck, keep in mind I’m not going to give it to just anyone who offers. You could be the kindest and most dedicated person in the world, but if you don’t have a knack for the writing style of Unistuck, then you won’t cut it.

Also, before people start offering, please realize I haven’t made it official that I am giving up Unistuck. I have to decide first that would be the best option. If I can be convinced that it would be a good idea, then I will open up applications for people. Until then ALL OFFERS WILL BE IGNORED.

What would you like to see happen with Unistuck?

Expect a lot of these for a short time, dang.

NEW Crabdad is probably going to be a merge of old Crabdad and tumblr user formally known as Failuretoland’s Crabdad. With possible guest appearances from his Humanstuck Karkat, Gamzee, and Goatdad.

Might do fan adventure style, or family album style, or just experiment with fun stuff.
